Enterprise Week
Posted: 13th December 2011
Earlier this term we held an enterprise week. The aim of the week was for children to come up with different ways of raising money for their class. Since half term, classes have been doing various things like jobs at home, cake sales, jewellery making and DVD nights to raise money. The winter fair marked the end of the challenge and on that event alone over £400 was raised towards the enterprise totals. We are now eagerly awaiting the results to find out which class has raised the most money. All the money raised will be used by the classes to buy resources and wet play games chosen by the children themselves.
Winter Fair
Posted: 13th December 2011
On Friday 2nd December, we held our annual winter fair. It was a great success with many comments about what a wonderful atmosphere there was in the school. All the children worked incredibly hard as part of their enterprise week challenge to sell all the items they had made. Overall, not including the money raised by the children for their enterprise challenge, we made £1190.26 which was fantastic. A huge thank you goes to Jo Doolan and Susan Oatway along with their FOLS team who organised the event brilliantly. Without the help and support of parents it would not have been such a great success.
