This year there has been a huge fundraising effort to ensure that Potters Bar is decorated with lights for Christmas and this event was designed to celebrate the effort and raise money so the event could be bigger and better in the future.

After being entertained by dancers from Rhythmix dance academy, including dancers from Ladbrooke (past and present), the choir took their places in front of the tree. Wrapped up warm and with smiles on their faces, the choir performed three songs without the aid of a backing track! First they began with The Christmas Calypso. This was followed by Rocking around the Christmas Tree before the finale of We Wish you a Merry Christmas.

There was a lovely atmosphere and the children sang beautifully. Thank you to all the parents who came out on this cold evening to support the choir and the Potter Bar Lights Fund. A massive thank you also to Mrs Prior and her team of parent helpers, who run the choir and ensure the children have lots of opportunities to perform.

There is a lovely report in the Welwyn and Hatfield Times with some superb pictures of the choir.  Click on the link to view.
