For maths we are moving on to quadrilaterals today. These are basically a 4 sided shape and there a more different types to learn about.
On the worksheet that you will be seeing, some of the sides have either a single or pair of parallel lines which are marked with / or // - this merely tells you that the lines with / are the same length, and lines with // are the same length. Some shapes also have an arrow on the sides. This is telling you that the two lines are parallel. This means that the lines will always stay the same distance apart and will never meet.

English – Verbs

Today we will be looking at verbs, which as you know are words that describe an action, state or occurrence. When you are looking for these in your writing you can often identify them by whether you can change their ending or not. You will know that when you write you can write in the present tense, past tense or future tense.
So:
Present – I dance
Past – I danced
Future – I will dance
Present participle – I am dancing
So, if you could change the ending of the word, it is likely that it is the verb.
Your challenge today is to follow the activities on Bitesize and then taking a paragraph from your reading book, make a list of the verbs.
