Year 6 DT project February 2026

Year 6 have been developing existing skills of textiles, as well as learning new ones this week. As part of our History topic on the Mayans, they have been thinking about how they made fabric. Year 6 found out about the importance of the loom weave in the making process and were able to use skills of weaving and pattern technique in creating their own weaves. Some children were able to produce two weaves and then use their knowledge and skills of joining and sew them together in order to create a pouch.  Another great DT project. Well done Year 6.
